Non-Destructive Inspection >
Liquid Penetrant Inspection is one of the most widely used Non Destructive Inspection (NDI) methods. It is used to inspect surface flaws on any non-absorbent material's surface and is popular due to its relative ease and flexibility.
Typically, Trichloroethylene or hazardous flammable solvents are used as the cleaning agent prior to or following application of penetrant dyes. These solvents possess significant environmental, health and safety disadvantages. Until now, workers in the NDI Industry have had no safer, more effective alternatives to turn to.
EnSolv-NDI is a precision n-Propyl Bromide based cleaning solvent, which is used to clean parts in the fluorescent (Type 1) and visible (Type II) dye penetrant inspection processes. EnSolv-NDI is the only n-PB based solvent tested and approved by the US Air Force under the requirements of SAE AMS 2644. EnSolv-NDI is non-flammable, non-carcinogenic, non-hazardous, non-regulated and is available in both liquid and aerosol.
